ABOUT THE PRODUCTION
Location shooting for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE took place in June and July at many of the actual haunts of real-life South Suburban rowdies. Sites included nightclubs and bars in Blue Island, Beverly, and Tinley Park; restaurants in Orland Park and Midlothian; homes in Hickory Hills, Palos Heights, Dolton, and Beverly; and even a burrito joint and lumberyard in deepest, darkest Chicago. A predominantly Chicago-based cast and crew were hired for the film, including many Northwestern University and DePaul Theatre School graduates.

ABOUT THE FILMMAKERS
Ever since they lived across the hall from one another as freshmen at Northwestern University, Hans Noel and Chris Wieland, the principals in Look!Defenseless Babies! Films and the creators of THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, were determined to make movies. For nearly ten years, the duo worked together on countless scripts, short films, and videos trying to perfect their creative voice. Inspired by the comedies of Woody Allen, the Coen Brothers, Kevin Smith, and others, it was only after repeated trips to Chicago's Southwest Suburbs, and hanging out with assorted "rowdies" that they found a setting and a wealth of characters they felt they could mould and present on the big screen. Noel and Wieland found funding for THE REST OF YOUR LIFE through a single, anonymous investor. Oh, and by the way, Look! Defenseless Babies! Films takes its name from the Chevy Chase vehicle Fletch. As far as you know. To learn some more about the filmakers decision making process click here.

Chris received his Bachelor's Degree at Northwestern University and holds a Master's Degree in Radio-Television-Film from the The University of Texas at Austin. Hans Noel (Director)
has long had an unrealized interest in film. At Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., he majored in journalism but took courses in creative writing and film theory. After graduating in 1994, he went to work at the Virginia-Pilot in Norfolk, Va., where he took solace in the town's only art-house, the Naro Cinema. He continued to study film through courses at the Hollywood Film Institute, where he was part of the "world's worst crew" that shot Killer's Kiss.
Since 1997, he has been a teaching assistant and researcher at UCLA. In 1999, he starred in and helped produce the short Woody on the Run.
He received his MA in political science from UCLA in 1999 and is now pursuing his Ph.D. in political science there. He also sometimes sneaks over to the film school for seminars.

Pete Biagi (Cinematographer)
has shot more than 30 short and six feature-length films. He frequently guest lectures on cinematography at the University of Wisconsin at Madison and at his alma mater, Columbia College in Chicago. Pete has operated the camera on such features as Payback, Return to Me, Unconditional Love, and Hellcab, as well as the television show Cupid and a BBC movie-of-the-week called March in the Windy City. Pete was one of the two cameramen at the 1999 Chicago Film Festival's Intercom ceremony to win the Best Cinematography award for his work on the corporate film Y2K for LaSalle Bank.
